a little friend for your desk...

I love the calendars from Present & Correct. The bright orange/red color on the Pop Dial Calendar  reminds me of vintage Fiestaware!

Floating Garden

I love the idea of a suspended garden somewhere in the home. Maybe in a sunny bathroom or greeting you in the foyer. Wouldn't a small orchid look lovely inside?

freshen up with: colorful desk lamps

Freshen up the home with a colorful desk lamp from Perch. Wouldn't these look cute as bedside tables?

Color Swirls

I think patterned bedspreads immediately transform the bedroom. The swirls of color(s) remind me of a bowl of candy. I especially love them in small bedrooms where you need a dash of something lovely.

gift guide: mother's day

Soon we will be celebrating those women we love and adore, our mothers. Once said by Tenneva Jordan,"a mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie." I love this saying because as a new mother myself, I understand the daily sacrifices you go through for your family. So, in honor of all those seasoned mothers or newbies, here are some cozy, shiny, delicious and practical gift ideas. Enjoy!

Gift Guide:
1. South Street Lacey Wallet, Kate Spade; 2. Teapot Gold, BijzonderMOOI; 3. Herringbone Throw, Vivre; 4. Flamingo Orange Stool, Crate & Barrel; 5. Alice Necklace, Stone & Honey; 6. Willie's Chocolate Bible, Terrian

White paint is my favorite color. After all it is a mix of every color and looks good anywhere! As Elsie de Wolfe once said, "I believe in plenty of optimism and white paint." My runner up would be navy blue. I love it almost as much as I love white. Whether it's paint, wallpaper or home accents, it's fabulous.
