Painted Jars

I am so excited to share this easy and CHEAP DIY from Diary of A Mod Housewife. With a little paint and some glass jars (think pickle, jam, mayo jars), you have instant color for a small bouquet of flowers. I also love how the shape of the jar is accented, creating texture to the design. Easy peasy -Callie

If the photography isn't enough, the recipe from V.K. REES Photography looks mouth watering. Veggie burgers are my go-to dinner meal and really easy to make. The flavor with the avocado and onion is a great combination, too. Once again, loving the colors in this burger and finding inspiration in each and every layer for my home (red onion for a wall color!). -Callie

I don't know about you, but I am glad it's Friday. This week has been a long one filled with all things baby! My little girl is almost 16 months (how the time flies). We have been having so much fun exploring in the garden, going to the park and smelling flowers (she also tries to eat them!).

Rainbow Chaser: Color Pops + Happy Monday

I am back from my week off and loving the spring weather here. Lots of inspiration around me for design ideas. All of my flowers are popping up through the soil and, soon, the colors will be abound. I am starting off Monday morning with one of my favorite categories, Rainbow Chaser.

The photograph via Rise & Shine shows how white is really the perfect canvas for bright colors. Seen here in the chairs, light fixtures and pillows, it inspires me to see the beauty in the little things. Even the small vase of flowers and trinkets on the dining table stand out. This is why I love white so much. Happy Monday and happy rainbow chasing! -Callie

Let's Get Crafty: Foam Board + Fabric

I wanted to incorporate color into my bookcases, while still keeping them baby friendly and easy to maintain (think no wallpaper or paint). After watching an episode on the Nate Berkus show on easy home updates, I was inspired. So, I cut out three pieces of foam board to slide into the back of each top shelf and covered them in a Pucci-like fabric by Amy Butler. The great thing is that you can easily change them out when you want to refresh the space. I love them! You could also paint them like she did on the crafty blog Recently. I love that look, too. -Callie
